Using your old clothes creatively is a form of recycling and not only is it good for your pocket but also the environment!
OLD CLOTHES HACKS AND TIPS TO SAVE MONEY
1 | Keep your sweaters from shedding

We all cherish our cashmere and wool tops. But the problem with this material is that they never seem to be able to stop shedding.
This can be a little bit heartbreaking as nobody prepares for this, but there is a way out.
Toss your cashmere top or sweater into the freezer before you wear it to reduce the amount of shedding and fuzz balls!
2 | Remove bad odors from your jeans

A smelling pair of jeans can make you want to toss out your favorite jeans. But you do not need to do that.
If your jeans have bad odors and you are trying so hard not to wash them so that the dye does not fade, what you can do is throw the jeans in a plastic bag and keep in the freezer.
You can do it overnight, and by morning the odor will be gone and you can wear your jeans again!
3| Get rid of armpit stains

Armpit stains are just… unsightly.
And if you have been struggling to get rid of them from your clothes, you can try out the lemon juice solution method.
Mix water with lemon juice and apply it to the stains. If the stains refuse to clean off, you can make a paste of baking soda with water and apply. Leave the paste on the stain for a couple of minutes before rinsing it off.
Then throw it into the washer and your tops should be as good as new!
4| Get rid of strong odor from your clothes

Have some of your clothes persistently have a strong odor that you seem to be unable to remove?
Or maybe, the shirt you want to wear in the morning has a strong odor, and you do not have enough time to wash and dry it? Well, that should end now with this hack that has proven to work overtime!
Spray some vodka on the clothing and allow it to dry. Once it dries up, whatever bacteria that may be responsible for that odor will be killed off by the alcohol.
5| Get rid of grease stains

Grease stains can be really persistent, but you shouldn’t let that frustrate you.
Get some white chalk and rub it into the stain before washing.
Then, wash it as usual and allow it to dry. You will find the stain gone, thanks to the chalk soaking up the stain.
6| Make your leather shoe shine without shoeshine

Have you run out of shoe shine, and you need to wear your leather shoes?
An excellent way to spiff up your shoes is to apply some lotion on them. The lotion can give your shoes the shine and gleam that they need without using shoe shine.
7| Fix the holes in your cardigan

Do not allow the holes in your sweater to stop you from wearing it!
You can cover those holes with colorful felted sweater patches.
These patches will make your sweater look colorful and unique without anyone knowing that there were holes there before. This method is a simple, effective, and beautiful one.

8| Get Rid of Foundation Stains

Do you always try to be SO careful about not getting foundation on your tops, but somehow it always happens?!
This is one of the most annoying things in the world – especially if you’re a woman of color and you happen to have stained a white top.
Don’t worry, you don’t have to throw the shirt away.
You can get rid of the stain using shaving cream. Simple spray the cream on, rub it in and leave it for a couple of minutes. Then throw the top in the washer and it should be as good as new!
9| Tighten a loose button thread

Do you have a button on one of your favorite shirts hanging by a loose thread?
You do not have to learn how to sew a button on yet; you can use clear nail polish to keep it closed temporarily.
10| Get rid of red wine stains

The best way to get rid of red wine stains is to pretreat the stain with white wine as soon as possible and before you wash it.
That is the only way you will not be forced to abandon that beautiful cotton shirt because of the stain on it.
